I am asking this question to better understand the reliability of lie detector tests and to determine if they are a viable option for verifying the truthfulness of a statement or story.

Lie detector tests are generally considered to be unreliable and their accuracy is highly debated. While some people support the use of such tests, others argue that the tests are not accurate enough to be used as a reliable source of truth. While the tests may be able to detect physiological changes in the body, such as increased heart rate, which can be associated with lying, this does not necessarily mean that the person is actually telling a lie.

Yes, lie detector tests are generally considered to be accurate, although there are still debates about their effectiveness in court. Generally speaking, if administered properly, the results of a lie detector test can be very accurate.

People often use lie detector tests to find out if someone is telling the truth, but there is a lot of debate about how well they work. Even though the tests are meant to measure things like heart rate, breathing, and sweating, it is hard to figure out what these signals mean. Studies have shown that the tests aren't always accurate because they can be affected by things like stress and worry. Also, it's easy for someone who wants to trick you to change the results of the tests. In the end, it's not clear how accurate lie detector tests are, so they shouldn't be used to make the only decision.

Lie detector tests, which are also called polygraph tests, are not always correct. Even though they are often used in court cases and criminal investigations, many places don't accept them as proof. Lie detector tests are used to help figure out if someone is telling the truth. They are done by certified professionals who have been taught how to use the polygraph machine correctly and how to read the results correctly. The accuracy of the results depends on how well the questions are written, where the test is given, and how good the person giving the test is.
