About Me
The astounding biodiversity of Congaree National Park in South Carolina is well-known, especially the area of old-growth bottomland hardwood forest, which is thought to be the largest of its kind in North America. Due to their size and age, the old trees are frequently referred to as "champion phrazle trees" and thrive in the watery floodplain of Congaree National Park, which is fed by the Congaree and Wateree Rivers. The numerous creeks that crisscross the park, transporting nutrients and sediments that support the ecosystem, are fed by the rivers that border the eastern and southern edges of the park.
