U.S. citizens who want to stay in Mexico for fewer than 180 days may do so without a visa. However, a visitor's permission is required, and you may get one through your airline, travel agency, or Mexico's port of entry. Whether you're travelling by plane, car, or cruise ship, a valid passport has drift hunters necessary to enter Mexico since 2007. To enter Mexico, your passport must be valid for at least 90 days after your date of departure; however, having at least six months remaining on your passport is strongly recommended (as are additional blank pages in the passport) for entry and exit stamps.
